Mark Guerrero

Sensei Guerrero lives in Val Verde with his wife Lisa and two son's Mark & David. A journeyman lineman by trade, he works as the Northern Grid Center Manager for Southern California Edison. He has been practicing Judo for 39 years and teaching for 17 years. He is a 5th degree Black Belt in Judo and a second degree in Jujitsu. He started judo as at Rendokan Dojo with his first teacher, Sensei Ken Carson, and received his black belt from Sensei John Ogden in Long Beach. Over the years he has been a member of several other dojos, including Tucson Judo, L.A. Judo, San Fernando Judo and Santa Clarita Judo. He is a founding member of Antelope Valley Judo, Mountain Judo, and Gokei Judo. He returned to Santa Clarita Judo in 2006.Sensei Guerrero has coached numerous Junior & Senior Athletes to medals at the Local, State, National, and International level, and is a life member of the United States Judo Association.
As a competitor he is a World Masters Silver Medalist 1999, Bronze medalist in the Pan American Masters Judo Championships 2005 , AAU National Masters Champion 1997,Silver medalist Senior National Masters Judo Championships 2003. Bronze medalist at the USJA National Championships 2006 ,Bronze medalist Senior National Masters Judo Championships 1996,1999 2005. He is a certifed referee, USJI C certified Coach, USJA  certified Coach, Pace certified, a National Rank examinar and a long term clinician at Camp Bushido
