Richard Weiner

Sensei Weiner is a longtime Santa Clarita resident. He moved here in 1985 with his family. He has been practicing and teaching Judo for over 41 years. He started his studies in the art of Judo at age 6 (1966) under Sensei William Maughn at Thunderbird School of Judo in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has been a member of Rendokon Dojo in Tucson, Arizona (Sensei Ken Carson),and practiced at the Naval Training Base in San Diego, California. He is a Sandan in Judo (3rd degree). He joined Santa Clarita Judo Club 1986. Sensei Weiner enjoys sharing his passion for Judo with his students, which includes his 3 sons, Matthew, Adam and Jake. All three sons are now Black Belts, sharing their own passion of Judo with the world.
